A new home for REAL Hope Youth Center | Local News

Carl Anderson, director of the REAL Hope Youth Center, speaks during a groundbreaking ceremony Thursday morning at the center’s new location inside First Baptist Church, 313 N. Poplar St. in Paris. The center moved from the Central Community Service Center on Jones Bend Road Extended to a space inside the church. Anderson explained that the central building had been a good home, but “couldn’t provide much security for our children and therefore we couldn’t get state certification.” Without state certification, REAL Hope could not offer any programs in the summer. He said Trent Bullock and Todd Henson, First Baptist senior pastor and executive pastor, contacted him to offer him the space at the church. The center is in the process of raising funds for a permanent residence at the corner of India Road and Peppers Drive.
