Friends of Glenview Youth Services Invite People to “Yoga in the Park” – Chicago Tribune

Friends of Youth Services is hosting “Yoga in the Park,” a community event from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. on June 26.

According to a press release, the outdoor yoga event, suitable for all abilities, will be held at Glenview Park Center, behind Splash Landings.

Featured yoga instructor Anna will guide participants through a fun workout in support of youth services, according to the release. There will be free gifts and drawing prizes immediately after. A donation of $20 will be collected per person.

Yoga in the Park is another way for Friends of Youth Services to host engaging community events while raising critical funds to support youth services, the statement said.

Proceeds from the event directly benefit Youth Services, an organization that strives to provide mental health support to children and youth in our community.

According to the statement, Youth Services serves more than 1,800 local children each year and offers “the most generous sliding scale and scholarship program in the region” to ensure that no child is left behind. never diverted from their essential services. Community support by attending events like this helps them do just that.

“What better way to come together to support the health and well-being of our children than to participate in a fun outdoor activity,” Julie Bruch, president of Friends of Youth Services, said in the statement. “Spend an hour and do something good for yourself while providing valuable support to our community.”
