Manistee Youth Center publishes November calendar

MANISTEE – The Armory Youth Project has announced its November programming for Grades 6 to 12 students.

The Armory will continue to open for students at Manistee Middle High School at 7:30 a.m. on Mondays due to late start Mondays at Manistee area public schools which allow for professional development.

The study room will be open weekdays from 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. with the exception of November 5 and 12, when it will end at 5 p.m.

The Empower program will run from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. every Monday. It’s open to Grades 6-8 and focuses on Complete Health with Food, Fitness, and Connection.


Jazzercise will take place from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays throughout the month.

A music program will take place from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. every Tuesday, and an open gym for basketball will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

The disc golf program will take place on Wednesdays from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.

The Be the Influence mentoring program will run from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. on November 4 and 18.

A final Cooking Matters class will take place on November 5 from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Archery will take place from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. on November 12 and from 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. on November 19.

An 80s Grad Bash 2022 dance will be held for grades 6 to 12 on November 19 from 8 p.m. to 11:45 p.m.

The Drill Hall Fall Basketball Clinic continues this month. The third and fourth graders will meet from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. and the fifth and sixth graders will meet from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. every Saturday.

The Armory will be closed November 24-26 for Thanksgiving.
