Northeast Youth Center kids sell lemonade to raise money for the end of summer trip

SPOKANE, Wash. — The kids at the Northeast Youth Center are raising funds this Friday for an end-of-summer trip!

You can see them from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 3004 E Queen Ave., holding up signs at the lemonade stand.

Executive Director Sheila Geraghty says they are raising funds to go to Triple Play Family Fun Park and Chuck E. Cheese.

She says most kids have never been to a place like Triple Play Family Fun Park – yet they’re willing to work all day Friday to raise money at their lemonade stand.

“Last year we raised $5,200 and our goal this year is $6,200. Some donors just write big checks and pay for the lemonade,” Geraghty said. “Coyote Country will be live streaming from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and law enforcement will respond and assist during the day as well.”

This year, the goal is $9,000. Each cup of lemonade is only $1.
