The Youth Center’s fundraising campaign at mid-term

The Youth Center is halfway to its goal of $200,000 for its 2022 fundraising campaign. The campaign started on March 1 and runs until March 25, 2022. The fundraising campaign will end with a casino night All In For The Kids on March 25 at the Youth Center.

There are less than two weeks left to reach the $200,000 goal. Thanks to the generosity of the community, the Youth Center has raised just over $110,000 to date. They continue to focus on obtaining corporate sponsorships and individual donations in order to achieve their goal.

Southland Credit Union President and CEO Tom Lent leads the 25th Annual Community Support Campaign as campaign chair, responsible for raising much-needed funds for the youth center to provide scholarships for families in need and to pursue the pursuit of the non-profit organization to nurture young people in mind. , body and mind.
In addition to providing scholarships, money raised during the campaign will help provide tutoring and homework help, instrumental music lessons, as well as leadership, life skills and training. career for teenagers.

100 activists came together to support this great cause. One of the activists, Kristin DiMiceli, owner of Garage Pilates in Los Alamitos, said, “I am a local small business owner, board member of the Los Alamitos Chamber of Commerce and a resident of Seal Beach. . My husband John and I have 3 busy teenagers with (what seems to be) countless activities and found The Youth Center when our eldest volunteered at the Christmas tree stand event which s is held at Ganahl Lumber. Once we learned about this amazing community organization, we loved supporting the Youth Center and look forward to being part of this annual campaign.

Another activist, Arnie Fine said: “I am a salesperson in the industrial pipes, valves and fittings business. I have been involved in youth programs since the age of 18, when I was a part-time supervisor of a youth center in my neighborhood. I have been on the board of this great organization for over 30 years now. I have witnessed phenomenal growth for this organization, both in the awesome programs we provide for our youth and also in the individuals who make the Youth Center the award-winning non-profit organization it is today. today. I am very proud that the Youth Center helps shape the lives of many people who walk through our doors every day.

The All In For The Kids Casino Party at the end of the campaign will give guests the fun and excitement of playing in a real casino, but instead of going to Las Vegas, Las Vegas will come to them! The fun begins March 25, 2022 from 6-10 p.m. at the Youth Center in Los Alamitos, CA. Guests will enjoy an evening of delicious food, drink and entertainment, Vegas style. David Harlow of New Zealand Wine Navigator will be offering a free tasting of No.1 Family Estate Cuvée Methode (Bubbles), Darling Sauvignon Blanc (Cert.
