The Youth Services Bureau provides toys and holiday food to local families

The 38th annual Bureau of Youth Services (BSJ) Christmas present served approximately 145 pre-registered families at a drive-in event in the parking lot of the YSB headquarters at 84 Broadway in Richmond today.
Parents and children picked up bags of toys and bags of food for the holidays.
“We’ve been part of this community since 1984. Most of us who work here were born and raised in Richmond,” said YSB Executive Director Onna Alexander. “We are here to help our families and their children in our community with the challenges of everyday life. YSB likes to get involved with the community during the holiday season…the smiles from parents and children are worth it.
YSB provides comprehensive services to youth and families in need in Contra Costa County. The organization partners with Child and Family Services, along with dozens of other organizations, to provide direct services to children and families.
VESTIA Inc. and financial donations from other community partners helped CCYSB spread holiday cheer with toys, gift cards and food, with those who signed up for “Christmas Grab & Go” on Monday December 20.
